Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix is a collection of Kingdom Hearts titles remastered for the PS3. It includes Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix, and the story of Kingdom Hearts: Coded, told through cinematics, much like 358/2 Days was in KH 1.5 HD Remix. Like the first collection, the Final Mix versions have been previously unreleased outside of Japan, and include extras, such as another difficulty level for veterans of the series, as well as some extra bosses, keyblades, areas, and more.Jump to the Strategy Guide.Sora's saga continues with another giant Kingdom Hearts RPG on the PS2. Of course, he's not alone. Joining him on his quest are Donald, Goofy, King Mickey, and IGN Guides. If you're looking for help saving Kairi from the Heartless and ruthless Organization XIII, you've come to the right place.
Take a look inside IGN's Kingdom Hearts II guide for a detailed, help getting started, and an instructions on how to get past those side quests. Think of our guide as the Keyblade to unlocking the secrets of the Keyblade.Guide Sections.
You can't emulate 2.5; there's a PS3 emulator in development, but it's not anything like playable right now.PCSX2 has a pretty comprehensive with recommended settings and hardware, including for KH2 Final Mix. You can also Google for the translation patch that will give you English text (FM has English audio by default). Note that you won't have English dialogue in new-to-Final Mix cutscenes, and you won't have the new music; I remember hearing someone was working on a patch for those, but haven't seen it completed.
Using the right translation patch you'll have the new English audio, but you'll still be hearing the older music so far as I can tell. Also remember that emulation depends heavily on CPU rather than GPU; whether or not your computer plays PC games well has a little less of a bearing on whether or not it can emulate smoothly than you'll probably think it will. PCSX2 is well-optimized for Kingdom Hearts games, but I still can't get above 40 FPS in actual gameplay on my tanky-but-aging laptop, for instance. There's a copy of KH2FM on Ebay for like, $22 + free shipping right now, which seems pretty reasonable to me. Pick that up, Google how to rip an iso file, apply the patch, and you're good to go.
